Director:

Candie Munson

I have been at ST Vincent Ferrer Preschool since 1991. This is my 30th year and I am still growing in The Lord's Kingdom. I attended Saint Vincent High School in the very rooms that house the preschool now. I have 3 grown children who have grown up here at St. Vincent Ferrer. I also have 2 grandchildren who have also attended school here. You can say it's a family affair. I studied Early Childhood Education at Solano College. I am the Preschool Director and I also work in the preschool classroom too. I enjoy working in the classroom because I have a passion for early learning, especially enriching young minds through play and mindful experiences. I also enjoy sharing my faith with young children through prayer, stories and music. In my free time I enjoy life by traveling, hiking, crossfitting, and eating. I love animals and currently have 1 dog, Stanley and 3 cats Stitches, Stormy and Felly. All who have rescued me.

Teacher:

Heather Eyheralde

Hello! My name is Heather Eyheralde and I’m a teacher here at St Vincent’s Ferrer Preschool. I have 2 teenage son who started their Catholic education here at St Vincent’s Preschool. After they graduated and moved on to the elementary school, the perfect opportunity came for me to join the SVFP family. I’ve had the pleasure of working here for the last 8 years, the last 4 yrs as the teacher of the Bird Group.

Other than cheer on my children at their various sporting events, my favorite pass time is reading and I enjoy passing my love of books to the children in my classroom. There’s no where you can’t go without a good book to take you there!

Jessice Hearn

Hi, my name is Jessica Hearn and I am a teacher at the preschool. I’ve worked here for going on 3 years and absolutely love it. Prior to working here and moving to Vallejo, I worked in Law Enforcement as the Field Services Manager for Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority. I was born and raised in San Jose, California. I attended St. Lucy’s Catholic Elementary School from first to eighth grade and then went to Westmont High School which was a public school. I then attended University of Phoenix and earned my AA degree. I continued my education at Solano Community College to complete credits needed to become a teacher here at preschool. I have been married for 13 years and have a seven year old son who attends St. Vincent Ferrer School in second grade. I love fitness/health and spending time with my family.

Irene Pasco

My name is Irene Pasco. I am a preschool teacher for Saint Vincent Ferrer preschool. I have a background in early childhood education. I have worked at St. Vincent for 22 years. That’s more than half my life! I was born in the Philippines but came to live in Vallejo when I was just 5 years old. Then my family moved to American Canyon 15 years ago. I married my high school sweetheart, Allain and we’ve been married for 24 years. We have three handsome boys together. Joseph (26), Jonathan (23), and Julian (16). In my spare time I love gardening in the backyard with my youngest son, Julian and collecting house plants. I also love to cook and bake and recently I discovered a love for crystal minerals and learning all about them.

Teacher Aides:

Jiali Christiansen

Hello! My name is Jiali and I am a preschool aide for Saint Vincent Ferrer Preschool. This is my third year working for SVF and my 6th year working with the preschool age group. 14 years ago, I moved to the U.S. from China. I now live in Vallejo with my husband and two stepchildren. I have two brothers who still live in China and I would love to visit them when it is safe. My hobbies include art, sewing and math.

Melanie Martinez

Hello, my name is Melanie Martinez and I currently work as a Teacher Aide at St Vincent Ferrer Preschool. I was recently hired to work at the school; however, I was a former babysitter for a couple of years. I was born and raised in Vallejo, CA, and graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a BA in Sociology. I come from a family of teachers so I was drawn to work with children as a teenager. At the moment, I do not have any talents to share with the children just yet since I am still getting used to things around here.

Hyacinth Rodriguez

Hi! My name is Hyacinth Rodriguez and I teach the bear group at St. Vincent Ferrer Preschool. I started my journey here in March of 2017. Before joining the preschool team, I was working at a gym teaching cardio dance classes. I am a licensed Zumba instructor and I have a passion for fitness and dance. I was so excited to begin sharing my passion with children. I am also bilingual (Spanish/English) and love being able to incorporate that communication ability into my work.

I was born and raised in Oakland, CA and grew up in the public school system. I was raised in a very hispanic neighborhood and started learning spanish at a young age, thanks to my neighbors. I met my husband in Oakland and attended Shiloh Christain fellowship from childhood into my early adulthood until moving to Elk Grove, for a few years and then eventually settling down in Vallejo, CA. I am currently in the process of finishing my college degree. My goal is to earn a teaching credential and move on to complete a Masters degree in bilingual immersion.

My family consists of myself, my husband (Hector), and our two sons (Zachary and Benjamin). Our non-human immediate family also includes 3 cats, Mimi, PP Girl, and Tutu. We have lived in Vallejo for 8 years. I love dancing, teaching Zumba, and attending Crossfit regularly. Fitness is a very strong passion of mine aside from my love of children and early childhood development.

After high school, I went to the city of Manila and graduated from college with coursework in midwife. I also completed classes at Solano Community College in Early Childhood education.
